Tonic Jigsaw Creation Media Die Galaxy Notebook :D

The fantastic NEW Tonic Media Dies launched today at 12pm on Hochanda!! Kicking off the new range with this stunning Jigsaw Die!! I thought it would be great to decorate a notebook using the jigsaw pieces, and it ended up looking a little bit galaxyesk once I'd started spraying it, so I ran with the theme and came up with this :D :D :D

***This is a thicker die too, so you will need to use a different cutting sandwich! I recommend using the Tangerine Die-Cutting Machine and the sandwich for that machine is White Plate, Metal Shim, Card, Die (cutting side INTO metal shim) and finally the Green Plate :D***

Tonic Nordic Tent Box :D

When I was looking at the dimensions on the new Festive Flurry Tent Box die from Tonic, I thought, hang on a second, that sounds like a similar size to the Nordic dies that come with Issue 6 of the Tonic Magazines, so I gave it a go, and it worked :D :D So for those of you who love to mix and match your Tonic die sets, the panel dies from the Magazine Freebie, and also the cracker (that was exclusive to Hochanda) will fit on the Festive Flurry Tent Box!! :D :D You'll need to cut the outside rectangle (with a trimmer) for the skinny top pieces, and for the main panel, I used a Tonic nesting square die, followed by the plain square from the tent box set to create a really narrow frame, this gives the panels a nice finished edge :D :D I LOVE how Tonic design their die sets, it really allows you to think outside of the box, or the cracker in this case lol :D

Tonic Kaleidoscope Tissue Box :D

As soon as I saw the new triangular shape for the Tonic Kaleidoscope range, I just thought, I must try and make a tissue box from that lol, so this was the first box I made, and it was actually the first ever Kaleidoscope box I made too :D I LOVE how versatile this range of box building dies are, and the fact that everything mixes and matches together across the range is just wonderful!! :D :D There'll be a quite a few more videos on this channel making these boxes too, and then I'm hoping to do another page by page art journal series too, using the Tonic Keepsake Dies as the main base, I just need to get round to filming it hehehe :D :D

Hexagonal Festive Kaleidoscope Treat Box from Triangles :D

A divided hexagonal treat box for the festive season :D I was thinking this would be great when you get a family box of celebrations, you could divide them up between you so there's no squabbling over how many malteasers chocolates you've eaten etc... :D :D :D

This was quite a project to complete, and overall it took over 3 hours with all the die-cutting etc.. :D It's a pretty simple design though, and you can make it simpler, or go to town with the decorating like I did here :D You need all the components to create 6 triangular boxes (but you only need 1 lid for each, so 6 in total), then you need 2 hexagonal lids/bases :D To create the flip up lids, you need to cut off all the glue tabs for the lids, and you'll also need to trim the last scallop off of two adjacent sides too, this will allow the sides to easily fold down inside the box :D I think that makes sense, but that's why there's a video, as I'm useless at explaining everything lol :D And then you'll stick the last remaining scalloped side to the triagonal box to give the lid a hinge :D You'll also need a hexagonal base, that all of these 6 triagonal boxes will fit into, and this gives each of these boxes a base :D Then for the lid, you'll need to really expand the 'corners' so that it will fit over the top, and then you can hide this with little portions of the holly sprig die set :D And obviously, you'll need to create a window in the lid before assembling it too :D And for this you can use the layering hexagons from the lid die set, or the ones that come in the layered hexagon die set, or a combination of the two like I did :D Hope you enjoyed seeing this box come together :D :D :D

Crocheted Doily Embellished Tonic Pillow Bag :D

I had recently gotten the new Pillow Bag die set from Tonic when I was creating the samples for the Doily Die shows, and I thought they'd work perfectly with the Pillow Bag die, so voila :D I decided to create the main bag out of patterned paper, and I used a First Edition paper as they're nice and sturdy, I think they're 200gsm, so are practically a thin card weight, and they actually work fabulously for a bag/box like this :D :D
